NEWS & EVENTS

On Wednesday 12 December from 8pm to 11pm, get lost in the music with LCCM's year 3 Performance students at the gig taking place at the Venue. On this occasion, there will be some Disco, 80s music and a Bruno Mars tribute. This event is free to attend for all students, friends and parents. Refreshments and snacks will be available at the bar, cash only. Come along to support all three of our third-year student bands and see the skills they have picked up during their time at LCCM.

We are so proud of the LCCM Gospel for going into the semifinals. As former winners of 2017, we are so happy to have this opportunity to hopefully win again. If you would like to vote for the LCCM Gospel Choir, it is completely free and easy to do.  Click on the link below, follow UGCY on Instagram or YouTube, like our video and comment ‘I vote for this choir’. To celebrate, join us at The Venue at The Music Box campus for our End of Term gigs – they will take place on 3 and 4 December from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. Our talented first- and second-year students will be presenting the results of their hard work throughout this term; we couldn’t be more excited to see them perform!

Jazz Pathway Gig

Catch all years at LCCM come together on 28th November for a Jazz Pathway Gig. Stop by the Venue in the Music Box at 8pm to see the first band kick things off, then stay for all five acts and the final performance at 10.20pm. The gig is welcome to all students, parents and friends, and is free of charge for all. We can’t wait to see you there.

Guest Talk with Andrew Walsh

On 21 November, LCCM will host a guest talk on writing for interactive media featuring Andrew S. Walsh, an award-winning writer and director. Andrew has worked extensively in games, film, television, theatre, radio and animation. The talk will approach what makes writing for games and interactive media different from other types of media, such as film and television. Andrew will discuss the production process of writing for games and how to build a successful career in the area. The talk will take place at the Music Box campus, classroom 3G, from 1 pm to 2 pm, and will be perfect for students in the Creative and Professional Writing course seeking different career options.
