Simon Price

Simon Price is an award-winning Welsh music journalist and DJ with over 35 years' experience, including nine years at Melody Maker and twelve at the Independent On Sunday.

He currently contributes to The Quietus, Record Collector and Metro among others, and frequently appears on music documentaries on the BBC and Netflix. He also regularly appears on the Top Of The Pops-based podcast Chart Music.

His first book, Everything (A Book About Manic Street Preachers), was the UK's fastest-selling rock biography of all time, and named Book Of The Year by NME and Rock Book Of The Decade by The Guardian. He is currently working on his second book, Curepedia: The A-Z Of The Cure.

Now based in Brighton, he runs a number of successful club nights including the monthly alternative 80s night Spellbound. He has DJed for artists including AC/DC, Pharrell Williams, Pet Shop Boys, The Darkness and Suede, and at festivals including Reading, Kendal Calling and Festival No.6.
