Mike Drinkwater

Mike's long and varied career has led to his expertise in a wide range of musical skills. Classically trained at the Centre for Young Musicians London, Queens' College, Cambridge and City University, London he is a keyboard player, ballet pianist, audition accompanist, arranger, MD, composer, studio musician and function band player. He is equally adept at rock, pop, country, blues, soul, R & B, jazz and all things classical too.

At LCCM, he has developed the second-study module for intermediate level piano and has a particular interest in transcription and stylistic awareness, both of which feature highly in his teaching. He is currently playing with TJ Walker & The Long Game, who will be releasing an album in early 2021.
