After he torched social media with some pretty wild IG posts on Sunday aimed at Pete Davidson (after his previous spat with Billie Eilish), Kanye – we aren't gonna start calling him Ye properly until he behaves, sorry – revealed his next album, Donda 2, will be arriving on the 22nd, but only on his "Stem Player."

The device was first released in conjunction with previous record Donda last year and allowed users to remix the album’s songs using stems of vocals, drums, bass, samples and more. Saying the new album would not appear on Apple, Amazon, Spotify or YouTube, in a social media post he wrote: “Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system.

It’s time to take control and build our own,” directing fans to an order page for the Stem Player. Catch is, it's £200, which is certainly a barrier for fans. This is peak Kanye – a slice of genius and actual activism sandwiched in between outrageous and nonsensical behaviour. Via Music Ally
