With winners across 14 categories that recognise outstanding achievements in songwriting and screen composing, performances at the ceremony featured Raye, Sting, Matilda Mann and Henry Moodie (and a livestream on Twitch we’ve been plugging that some of you may have tuned into), this year’s Ivors was the biggest celebration of songwriters and composers in its history. This year’s Songwriter of the Year Award went to Wet Leg’s Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers. Best Contemporary Song went to Raye, 070 Shake and Mike Sabath for Escapism. Sting received the Fellowship of The Ivors Academy, the highest honour the Academy bestows, whilst singer-songwriter Victoria Canal won the Rising Star Award.
