Becky Gilhespie

Becky is an experienced vocal coach working with touring artists, actors, and singers of all levels, from hobbyists to signed artists on both major and independent labels (Universal, EMI, Capitol, 300 Entertainment). Known for helping artists build confidence through precise, evidence-based vocal training, she supports singers with reliable tools for consistent performance. Becky works extensively across genres, including male rock vocalists such as longtime client Barns Courtney, as well as soul, jazz and contemporary singers looking to expand range, develop a connected, seamless voice, and achieve vocal freedom. Her technical foundation was shaped through years of intensive study with some of the music industry’s leading coaches, giving her a deep understanding of the voice and demands of modern gigging and touring artists.

She is also the author of Singing for the Self-Conscious, which focuses on developing confidence through both technical and artistic understanding. Becky’s coaching centres on giving modern singers the technique they need to trust their voice in the studio and onstage. Her combined focus on mindset and mechanics helps artists move beyond self-doubt, unlock vocal reliability, and step into their next level of artistry.
