Andy Jones

In a long and varied career as a sideman, session musician and arranger, Andy G Jones has played with Van Morrison, James Ingram, Lamont Dozier, Queen (Brian May and Roger Taylor), The Zutons, Ian McCullough (Echo And The Bunnymen frontman), Cliff Richard, Sam Ryder, The Lightning Seeds, Robben Ford, Billy Cobham, John Illsley (Dire Straits), KT Tunstall, Albert Lee (featured on Andy’s upcoming CD), Mike Finnigan (Hammond on Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt), Malford Milligan (Storyville), Dave Landreth and Ryan Voth from The Bros. Landreth, The BBC Radio Big Band, Patti Austin, Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), Lalo Schifrin (Hollywood film composer Bullitt, Mission Impossible), Hank Marvin, Jon Faddis, James Dean Bradfield (the Manic Street Preachers), Grady Tate, Agnetha from ABBA, Dudley Moore, Strictly Come Dancing – BBC TV,  Nathan James (Inglorious), Joey Tempest (Europe), Robert Fripp, Madeleine Peyroux, Jon Herington. He has recorded live DVDs at the O2 arena and Sydney Opera House and played to 500,000 people (and millions more on TV) at the Queen’s Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace.

Andy’s two volume improvisation method – “Improvisation – Every Musician’s Guide’ is coming out soon published by Trinity College Of Music. Andy has been chair holder on numerous shows in London’s West End theatres.

He arranged the guitar parts for Queen’s We Will Rock You show, working closely with Brian May. He regularly does clinic tours around the world. Andy has a monthly column in Guitar Techniques magazine and #guitarworld. 

He is MD and guitarist for Patti Revell Jones Patti has worked with Meat Loaf, The Brand New Heavies, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra and many more.
