Ludacris will replace the rapper at this weekend's Strawberries & Creem festival in Cambridgeshire, which was set to be Wayne's first UK show in 14 years(!). “Lil Wayne has been refused entry to the UK directly by the Home Office in a last-minute decision. We are deeply disappointed by this sudden and negative ruling" said the festival in a statement, going on to add “we have received very minimal notice, and the timing of the decision is of course upsetting for all involved – including Lil Wayne’s fans, as well as the festival team.” Talk about short notice! We're trying not to be political but it's very frustrating when the powers-that-be stifle arts and culture even more than usual. Kudos to Strawberries and Creem for being measured and booking Ludacris so quickly – they're one of the best UK festivals in our eyes, modernising the sector with a representative lineup and last year, issuing NFT collectibles as festival tickets.Via NME
