Summer Music Performance Course Overview
Our summer music performance course is an opportunity to showcase your skills as a solo artist and as a part of the brand. Our expert tutors, who work at the core of the music industry, will lead you in group instrumental lessons, teaching you specific techniques, skills and songs from the band workshops.
With guidance from our music performance tutors, your band and yourself will be rehearsed and learn your set of songs together throughout the two weeks duration while applying what you have learnt from the instrumental class. Our course will help you develop and excel in your chosen instrument. Also, you'll be collaborating with the Music Production students to record your band's performance.
On the last day of the course, you will be allowed to perform live at the Music Box Venue in front of your family, friends and colleagues. In the second week of the course, you'll be given an opportunity to experience recording in a professional studio environment as a group before gearing up for your final gig on Friday Night.

During the summer Music Performance course, you will get the opportunity:
- Develop your instrumental playing, by learning new techniques and skills
- Learn to express musical genres accurately within selected contexts
- Perform repertoire through accurate reproduction and stylistically appropriate interpretation
- Experience playing in an ensemble with other musicians
- Learn best practice in regard to band rehearsal and professionalism in music performance
- Gain experience playing live in front of an audience
- Gain experience of playing and performing in a studio environment
