A professional Commercial Songwriter and Topliner, Mary Leay is perhaps best known for her top 40 co-write for MK / Becky Hill, ‘Piece of Me’ – now reaching over 185 million streams. She has co-written hits for artists including international superstar Cher (on her 25^th studio album) and X Factor’s runners up Union J after working with Producer Tim Powell writing and arranging for artists coming through shows including X Factor and The Voice as well as writing for film and TV.

With recent writing trips to Nashville, she continues to write with breaking artists working across pop, country and dance as well as working with publishers to take on an artist development and mentoring role for the artists she writes with.

Mary is also the co-founder of non-profit organisation ‘Mamas in Music’ creating tangible opportunities for mothers in the industry so they can thrive when historically as a demographic they have far too often been discriminated against and underrepresented. Passionate about championing the next generation of artists and songwriters and helping facilitate their growth in the current landscape of the industry.
