Moved to Cologne, Germany 1983-1989: worked with Sam Rivers, David Friedman, Charles Macpherson, Woody Shaw, WDR Big Band, Stefan Bauer.
1986 studied at Banff School of Fine Arts jazz workshop, with Dave Holland.
Taught jazz bass and jazz ensemble Folkwang Hochschule (Essen) 1988-89.

Moved to London 1989: worked with Stan Sulzmann Big Band, Ronnie Scott Legacy Quartet (tours of New Zealand, Greece), John Law Trio and Quartet, Pat Crumly Quartet, James Moody, Johnny Griffin, Trevor Tomkins, Norma Winstone, London Jazz Orchestra, West London Sinfonia.

Taught jazz bass and ensemble workshops at Swedish Folk High School, Visingso, Sweden, 1998-2002.
